The Hotel Josef has a total of about 45 rooms and can accommodate up to approximately 180 guests. This makes it ideal for larger groups such as school classes, clubs, or organized group tours.

Hotel Josef is specifically designed to accommodate groups. For school and youth groups, we offer shared rooms for 4 to 6 people. Teachers, chaperones, or group leaders can stay in single, double, or triple rooms.

Half-board is included as standard at Hotel Josef. Your group will start the day with breakfast and enjoy dinner together in the evening. Upon request, we also offer lunch or packed lunches—perfect for excursions or sports activities.

Yes, Hotel Josef can accommodate food intolerances and special dietary needs.

Meals at Hotel Josef are tailored to groups and are typically served as half-board.

This means:

• Buffet-style breakfast in the morning

Upon request, lunch or packed lunches for excursions can also be arranged.

There are several sports facilities available right on the hotel grounds. These include soccer, volleyball, basketball, table tennis, slacklining, and swimming in the heated outdoor pool.

There are many exciting places to visit in the Salzburg region near Hotel Josef. Particularly popular are the Eisriesenwelt ice caves in Werfen, Hohenwerfen Castle, and the impressive Lichtenstein Gorge. The Therme Amadé spa in Altenmarkt, swimming lakes in St. Martin and Eben, and rafting adventures on the Salzach River also offer a variety of options for groups.

The house features several recreational and common areas. Guests can enjoy table soccer, table tennis, and various board games, among other activities. There is also a cozy Netflix lounge, a games room, a gaming room (PlayStation, Nintendo), a projector with Wi-Fi and Netflix access, and a campfire pit for gatherings in the evening.

Yes, there are two parking spaces available right next to the hotel for cars and tour buses. The parking spaces are located right next to the hotel and are available to our guests free of charge.

The bus stop is located right next to the hotel. The nearest train station is only about 1 km away, so the Hotel Josef is also easily accessible by public transportation.

Yes. Since spring 2025, the Guest Mobility Ticket for the entire Salzburg region has been included in the price of stays at Hotel Josef. This allows guests to use buses, trains, and commuter trains in the Salzburg region free of charge.

When you stay at Hotel JOSEF, numerous services are already included in the price.

In addition, the building emphasizes consistent waste separation and recycling, and water-saving fixtures are used in the bathrooms.
